Reflective Supervision Consultation Groups: Providing Group Supervision/Consultation to the IECMH Workforce
Reflective Supervision and Consultation (RS/C) groups are a common professional development resource across child and family serving professions, but there is limited literature and continuing education about the unique benefits and challenges of providing RS/C in group vs. individual settings. This 2 hour training provides a broad overview for RS/C group facilitators and focuses on options and activities for beginning and sustaining RS/C groups, highlights the importance of relationship-based support and parallel process, and explores how issues of race/power/privilege and cultural identity can surface in the dynamics of the group process.
Learning Objectives:
- To deepen knowledge of the importance of relationship-based support and the parallel process for IECMH professionals.
- To expand awareness of how issues of race/power/privilege and cultural identity can surface in the dynamics of group RS/C.
