The 12th Annual Northern Michigan HIV Summit is a free, daylong educational conference hosted by Munson Healthcare’s Thomas Judd Care Center (TJCC), the region’s only holistic HIV care and prevention center and Northern Michigan’s only federally funded Ryan White program. Founded in 1994, TJCC provides medical care, prevention services, case management, support services, free confidential HIV testing, transportation assistance, community outreach and education.

The 2026 Summit will be held September 28 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City, with a livestream option available. Designed for social workers, healthcare providers, community partners, advocates and the public, the program will address comprehensive, status-neutral HIV prevention and sexual healthcare across the lifespan; addiction and compulsive behaviors as barriers to care; and the practical and systemic challenges people face following incarceration. Three sessions, for a total of four hours, will combine professional expertise, lived experience, audience discussion and interactive learning to strengthen participants’ ability to reduce stigma, recognize barriers and connect people with affirming healthcare and support.
