Rural-Focused Pediatric Nutrition Solutions
Objectives: To review emerging literature on rural population health and nutritional issues. To discuss Michigan’s involvement in the NIH-supported Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) program (https://echochildren.org/). To summarize examples of research driven nutrition solutions in rural Michigan.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will understand the importance of local, rural research. They will be able to describe ongoing research in rural Michigan, and contribute to future research ideas.
