Fostering a Culture of Belonging – for Licensed Professionals (LARA Implicit Bias Training)
A Culture of belonging is the foundation of healthy and integrated educational services and healthcare systems.
This interactive workshop will help us look below the surface to understand how the stories we have about ourselves, our communities, and our students or clients came to be; how they influence our actions and inaction; and how we can hone our own awareness of our conscious and unconscious motivations to provide services that will result in communities of belonging with positive outcomes for all. Regardless of the demographics of your students or clients, understanding the core values aligned with a culture of belonging can improve outcomes for everyone you serve.
Note: This training will provide 3 hours of training to satisfy the Michigan department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs requirement for implicit bias training. Participants seeking to meet the requirements of licensure should review the specific time requirements for their profession.
