Prior supervision/mentoring experience
As a Therapist, I enjoy working with children ages 3-18 in a trauma-focused therapy setting. In practice, I primarily treat PTSD, anxiety, depression, and problematic sexual behaviors in youth. I most commonly utilize TF-CBT, CPT, motivational interviewing, expressive arts, and play therapy techniques when working with children who have experienced sexual and/or physical abuse. Additionally, I am trained to utilize TF-CBT and Phase-Based Treatment when working with youth who are displaying problematic sexual behaviors.
As a supervisor, I have experience developing internship programs, creating clinical documentation, and establishing clinical programming policies and procedures. I have worked at Children's Advocacy Centers for 4 years, and am very familiar with Michigan Division of Victim Services (MDVS) funded programs. I have created and revised confidentiality policies and procedures following Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) and HIPPA guidelines. As part of my role as a supervisor, I have trained clinicians in mandated reporting, risk assessments, and safety planning related to various safety concerns.
I have supported clinicians through their supervision hours (LLMSW) for clinical practice, along with program development at Children's Advocacy Centers. Additionally, I have supervised bachelor and master level student interns.
