Statewide Training- The Science of Supporting Relationships: Integrating Evidence-Based Practices in IMH Home Visiting
If you are a provider trained in the Michigan Model of Infant Mental Health Home Visiting (IMH-HV), this training booster session is for you! The purpose of this training is to translate research findings into practice to support home-based providers in delivering the model and enhance positive outcomes for families.
Trainers will provide an overview of findings from evaluations of IMH-HV that have occurred in Michigan, including a clinical trial which recently concluded a 7-year follow-up, demonstrating the model’s positive impacts on families even after services end! This includes presenting data demonstrating IMH-HV’s impact on early relational health, parenting, parent mental health, and child developmental outcomes. Trainers will focus on how these findings inform everyday practice using case examples, clinical material, and discussion to bridge research to practice.
