Claudia Jean-Pierre (she/her) is a licensed clinical therapist, with 15 years providing mental
health services. She received her MSW from Wayne State University and BSW from Michigan State University. She utilizes Trauma informed care and intersectionality to inform her clinical practice and incorporates various modalities (Narrative Therapy, Relational-Cultural Therapy, CBT, and outdoor experiential experiences) into individual and group therapy. She has experience counseling clients within integrated primary care settings and outpatient settings. She has been a Field liaison and supervisor for Wayne State University and University of Michigan and assisted non-traditional students to successfully return and excel at the collegiate level. She has experience working those living with severe and persistent mental illness, those within LGBTQ+ community, individuals living with HIV, and those with comorbidities. She believes that healing work is a collaborative endeavor and combines experience, education, and innovation to provide a friendly and practical/realistic approach to counseling.
